A Bold Vision for a Green Future
Spanning 150 acres, Fumba Town is a mixed-use development that is set to be a pioneer in sustainable urban living. Through our partnership with CPS Africa, we are installing a 600 kWp solar power plant paired with a 600 kWh battery storage system, which will provide renewable energy to 2,000 households in the first phase. This is just the beginning of an even larger, more ambitious vision.
A Game-Changing Solar Power Initiative
While the first phase of the solar plant is already underway, our goal is to expand this project dramatically. Over the next few years, we plan to increase the solar capacity to 5 MWp and install 10 MWh of battery storage, benefiting 10,000 households and addressing Zanzibar’s growing energy demand. This initiative will help ensure energy security and transform Fumba Town into an example of sustainable, solar-powered urban living.
